Sometimes it takes a while to get the inspiration and figure out what design should be incorporated around a gem or a diamond. This oval aquamarine for example, had been sitting and waiting its turn for over 4 years. Every now and then, I go through the gems box and TRY to focus on one and, up in a gem design tangle, put everything back..and repeat.
It's a good feeling when you break out of that cycle, make a decision and go for it. Especially when the result is like these photos: As you can see, I eventually opted for an Art Deco inspired design.
