It all started with a few rough sapphires that were cut and polished into chevron shapes and set in 18 karat yellow gold.
The opposite shoulder is made with platinum and set with diamonds that have been cut to fit the design.
Generally speaking, designs are drawn around gems and diamonds but in this case, it's the other way round. This approach is very liberating from the necessity of sacrificing design due to the limitations of conventionally cut stones. I believe it's quite necessary to enjoy, every now and then.
