A medallion style pendant made out of pure passion for jewellery making, tinkering, colour mixing... you name it.
The inspiration is early sixteenth century Persia, specifically from the Safavid dynasty, an era known for art and a cultural high point. Although I usually love striking colours, I decided to go for lighter hues on this one, diamonds, mother of pearl (hand cut one by one and inlaid), with the possibility of changing the pearl at the centre into something else..
